Hebrews 11:13-16 reads,
"...they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own.
If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return.
If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return.
Instead, they were longing for a better country—a Heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them."
We who live on earth and have faith in Jesus Christ confess that,
"...Our citizenship is in Heaven. And, we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ".
Philippians 3:20
Our sights and our hope is in Heaven, not on earth. Colossians 3:1-4 says:
"Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory."

Not My Country
This is not my country,
this is not my home.
My home is in Heaven
where righteousness is known.

That city and that home in Heaven
where Christ waits for me.
