Jesus Christ, Our King

For Christians, it’s all about Jesus Christ.  He is our Lord and King; more than that, Jesus is the King of all kings.

In Psalm 2:6, God proclaims Jesus Christ is King, saying,

“I have installed My King on Zion, My holy mountain.”

Psalm 2:10-12 says that the kings of the earth should acknowledge the authority and rule of Jesus Christ.  They don't, but we Christians do.

Jesus was God come in the flesh

Read John 1:1-4, John 1:14, Philippians 2:6, Colossians 1:15-19, Colossians 2:9, Isaiah 9:6.

We belong to Jesus because He purchased us with His own blood poured out on the cross.

 "
For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a Lamb without blemish or defect." 1 Peter 1:18-19

"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. "1 Corinthians 6:19-20

"
You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings."
1 Corinthians 7:23

Jesus Willingly Sacrificed Himself For Us

Jesus Christ sacrificed Himself for our sins. Hebrews 10:4-7 says:

"It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
Therefore, when Christ came into the world, He said:
'Sacrifice and offering You did not desire,
    but a body You prepared for Me;
with burnt offerings and sin offerings
   You were not pleased.

Then I said, ‘Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll—
I have come to do your will, my God.’ ”.

The Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus

The most important we Christians know is, "that Christ died for our sins,
according to the scriptures; that He was buried, that
He was raised from the dead, according to the scriptures..." 1 Corinthians 15:3-4.

*

Jesus Christ showed Himself alive and in the flesh to His disciples for forty days after His resurrection.
Read Matthew, Chapter 28, Mark 16:1-7, Luke, Chapter 24, John 20:19-31, and Acts 1:1-3.

Therefore, We Bow To Jesus Christ

 Philippians 2:6-11 says of Jesus...

"Who, being in very nature God,
    did not consider equality with God something to be used to His own advantage;
 rather, He made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
    being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
       He humbled Himself
    by becoming obedient to death—
        even death on a cross!

Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place
and gave Him the name that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father."
